Civil Project Coordinator/Estimator

Kostyk Consulting Ltd. is searching for a Civil Project Coordinator/Estimator to join their team in the Cowichan Valley/Nanaimo area.    

We are looking for a highly motivated and hard-working individual.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:  

• Project Coordination 
• Cost Estimation 
• Construction site inspection 
• Assisting with preparing detailed designs and specifications for Municipal and private sector projects 
• Performing site reconnaissance for detailed designs 
• Assisting with technical reports and studies 
• Attending meetings with clients, contractors and municipal staff

Requirements of the position:  

• Access to vehicle for site visits
• Valid drivers license, and willingness to travel 
• Minimum 5 years construction experience 
• Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering an asset 

This is a full-time, permanent  position

Kostyk Consulting Ltd. is searching for a Civil Inspector to join their team in the Cowichan Valley/Nanaimo area.  

We are looking for a highly motivated and hard-working individual.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:  

• Diligently document the work by preparing daily inspection reports
• Liaise with the public and project owner 
• Ensure construction conforms to the design/contract documents 
• Continuously communicate with the Contractor and issue written instructions when appropriate 
• Proactively look for potential conflicts and anomalies 
• Measure the work for payment and attend to the preparation of progress estimates to the Contractor each month 

Requirements of the position:  

• Access to vehicle for site visits
• Valid drivers license, and willingness to travel 
• Minimum 2 years construction inspection experience 
• Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering an asset
